The time is slipping away! I can't believe it's been 16 months since I left, at times it seems like just yesterday. This week I have been looking through my old journals and wow, let's just say wow lots of things have changed and I have learned so much! I am excited to keep learning! After all that's what this life is all about, learning and progressing.

This week on Tuesday we had Zone Conference, which was a great day! We were able to go the night before because it was held in Carlsbad and stay with the sisters there, which meant we got to run by the river in the morning, with President and Sister Heap. Sister Heap and I ran and we chatted and ran some more, it was so fun! I also got to play the piano for the missionary musical number, it was so awesome. There was four elders, one straight from Tonga, he has been out about 8 weeks now and struggling with English at times and so for the musical number they started by singing "Heavenly Father Loves Me" and then transitioned into "How Great Thou Art" with the 1st verse in English and then they switched to Tongan!! We learned lots and lots and lots. But what I wanna share right now is: -President Riley (2nd counselor in the Mission Presidency) says "Our job is just to push against the rock. And then if the rock is meant to move God will move it, if not we were just meant to keep pushing." -The difference between vision, goals, and plans. Vision is the finished product; the hope. A vision is usually more broad and general. It is long term. Goal is a specific point in the progression of one's self or another. A goal is measurable, and constitutes a noticeable change in behavior or action. Plans are increasingly specific and direct. Plans are not sub-goals. They are not ideas, but rather specific and identified actions. Plans are the stepping stones to the goal. It makes all the difference when we see the difference in the three! This week we also went to Portales!!! Man I love that place and am so glad that I have managed to stay attached to it for basically my whole mission! One of the best parts was we were street contacting and we came up to this lady that I have talked to MANY times and she said to me "Oh so you got a different companion again?" She still remembers me and things I am still serving there hahaha. Oh and the sisters there are doing awesome! Right now Roswell under the direction of their Stake President, who said the idea came from the 1st Presidency is working toward having a Meet the Mormon movie night next Thursday. On Rhett's birthday we are all gathering with hopefully the whole city of Roswell to watch the whole movie and we can't wait!! This week we go to Hobbs!! Love you!! xoxo Hermana Slade
