Man words can not describe the week I have had. I feel so full of happiness and gratitude for the experiences that Heavenly Father has blessed me with. He really loves us just sooo much and wants to give us the best!! This week started with exchanges in Portales, which were the best thing ever! As soon as I got with Sister Peck and started driving down the road there were chickens every where, they were just screaming "Welcome back home." We even were able to eat dinner with Brenda + Danny, talk about a perfect day! And I got to teach in Spanish and see Mario my recent convert. And yeah it was just perfect and amazing. In the morning we give a mini instruction during companionship study and get this I even chocked because I was just so full. Man I love the Holy Spirit.

This week I also hit my 1 year mark as I'm sure you noticed. That was just weird. I can't believe that 1 year ago I was in Mexico at the CCM preparing to come here, to Texas and New Mexico. Man does Heavenly Father have the perfect plan for us. I also can't believe that I only have 6 months left and so I am going to work my head off and enjoy ever second! Because afterall missions are the best and the best fun, sure hard-as-heck but still the best! Okay let me just say Elder Bednar's visit was amazing. The best. Sister Heap put together a little choir, 6 sisters + 12 elders, and she she asked me to be a part of it. We sang "I Need Thee Every Hour" and it was awesome. It was crazy cuz he was 2 feet away from me and I could see him out of the corner of my eye looking at all of us! Ahhhh!!! It was incredible to have the whole mission together, man the feeling that was there! And I just can't believe everything I learned. The Holy Spirit loves us soooo much, just like Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I can't wait to tell y'all all about it one day! Then this Sunday we had a special Stake Conference with Elder Lawrence and Elder Villareal and were spiritual fed once again! Mind expanded by all these new things I learned :) It was definitely one of the most edifying weeks of my life!! Then on Sunday we were able to teach a lesson her in Spanish! A less active that is 90 here (who also is a famous horse trainer and has a picture with Clint Eastwood) is married to someone from Mexico, she is part-deaf a super hard to understand, but together we can piece it together. Anyway she is our new investigator, because she would go to the ward with her husband if she got baptized even though she doesn't speak English. She would just have a translator. Anyway pray for her that her daughter won't anti her. Yesterday was also the best Martin Luther King Day of my life, actually probably the best P-day of my life. We started out by doing a tiny bit if shopping, which I couldn't believe the deals we were finding. Then we ate lunch and then the temperature was 76 degrees and so we got together with the elders and played baseball, which I love playing catch, and then my companion wanted to play soccer and I wanted to run and so we did and it was just perfect. And then Paula + Larry took us out to eat for dinner at this super nice place called, Cattle Barons. Are you ready for something hilarious, Paula said order anything you want ( which I got beef kabobs, which I had just been thinking about earlier ) because Larry played the slots a couple hours earlier in Ruidoso and won $700! Can you believe it hahahaha, yeah we definitely haven't talked about gambling yet, and so we did and yeah let's just say what a way to end your gambling career hahahahaha. Anyway I just can't believe how blessed we are. We start week 6 this week which means transfer calls are on Saturday, we are anxious to see what happens and hope we both stay! xoxo Hna. Slade
