Okay so let's just start with this week was one of those weeks I can't wait to tell you all about when I get home, but putting it into an email will be IMPOSSIBLE. Especially because right now we are emailing at the office of our Ward Mission Leader because after 5 minutes at the library this morning we had to leave for an investigator crisis and you can only sign in once there. So he is the best and the nicest to let us come here at the last minute.
But let's get to it,
Monday: Oh my goodness Old Navy was amazing!! I can't even believe all the places that Lubbock has to offer, it was crazy + awesome.
Tuesday: MLC was fantastic! We are getting back to the basics, which are my favorite! Becoming Preach My Gospel Missionaries by Elder Bednar is genius.
Wednesday: We went to Carlsbad on exchanges. Which were super awesome and super fun until they became super awkward, we had to tell them that a few things they were studying aren't allowed on the mission and we never quite recovered after that. But I love that town, within 2 hours of being there, I got us a dinner appointment for the next day and 6 tamales. I love Spanish!!
Thursday: We came home and tried to see every one in our area because we feel they get neglected at times :( We just wanna work!! We also taught the most awesome 1st lesson to these super awesome new investigators, Aidee + Adrian, we have another lesson with them tonight and are so excited! We were able to teach the whole family how to pray which was perfect because her 7 year old son has been asking how to pray! So pray that we have answers for him and that they read and pray as a family. We also got to go go the Hinds and make cookies with them because Sister Hinds says every time she makes them they turn out like biscuits, so shoutout to Kathi her recipe was perfect and a hit!! It was also super fun!
Friday: We had interviews with President in the morning, which were amazing. Nothing is better than hearing him pray specifically for me with me in the same room. Every one says that is the best part of the interview and I agree whole-heartedly! Then we went about our day until my companion started dying from stomach pain. So naturally we went to our investigators still because she was taking us to dinner, well after we got our food we decided we needed to put it in boxes because Sister Rocha NEEDED to go to the doctor. So that night we ended up in the emergency room for 4 hours but all is well and she got the medicine that she needed. I thought at first it was appendicitis for sure! Thank the heavens it wasn't!
Saturday: Honestly was tooo crazy it is all a blur. But I do remember that we got to do some amazing Family History for Larry who actually has a ton of work already done for his family!!
Sunday: I met Kelsie's ex-companions dad!!! And Chelsea, Paula and Larry's niece came to church for the first time and LOVED it. So pray that we can start teaching her this week and that her parents will be on board :)
Yep that's about all I have time for, I'm excited to tell the uncut version one day :) I love it here so much! We have been having the best time studying and preparing for Elder Bednar this Friday!! I can't wait!!
This week I also hit my 1 year mark, which is depressing as heck!!
Oh and here's a quote, "Right choices increase our power to make more right choices."
