Okay so we had transfer calls and you are not gonna believe this one!! Ahhhh expect the unexpected! I love it!!! So far President has had 4 transfers since he has gotten her in July and so far he has called me 4 times. You would think I would get more used to it, but every time the stomach just drops! So this is what is about to happen here! I am staying :) my companion is leaving :( (actually she is going to Portales, CRAZY) and I am training a new STL...are you ready for who it is!?..........my trainer Sister Rocha. Say what!! I can not believe it! We are about to be companions again! I am training her this time! It's so weird, it's so crazy, and I'm so excited!! I love her soooo much!! I was so worried with Christmas coming up I would have a new companion that I didn't know but then this happened :) And she can continue to help me with my Spanish! #nativesforlife

This week we we had the coolest service I have ever done on my mission, at the Assurance Home. So it is this youth refuge type place, where kids ages 14-18 go if they are "unadoptable". There are 14 there right now and I love them sooooooo much! So the ward has been bringing in home baked Christmas goodies to them this month and so we signed up for 3 different weeks. Funny story about that really quick, so this week was the first time we were supposed to go and we signed up for Thursday (bike day) so we asked a Less-Active to go with us and bring her kids (remember Brandon--who by the way yesterday when we told him Sister Laparra is leaving said that we were the best 2 missionaries that he has ever had, the only 2 that he has actually liked and wanted to listen too-- and his sister. So anyway Sister Hinds tells us that she knows where it is so we are like perfect, and we pull up and we are like wow this looks really Catholic, interesting. But we get out and go anyway. And we walk in this little door thing and straight up this is hard core Catholic (so me and Sister Laparra are thinking oh so it's like Nacho Libre) Well after talking to the nun for like 10 minutes about how were are bringing these goodies for kids and where we are from and such she just says "But there are no kids here." Yeah turns out we weren't at the Assurance Home but at the local Monastary! hahahahaha. Anyway so yesterday we got to go there with 2 sisters in the ward and make a bunch of treats with them all so we could put together baskets for her visiting teaching sisters and it was amazing. The kids are sooo cool! They have hard such hard lives, one told me that his mom gave him ice and he was addicted but now he has been clean for 2 years, and he is only 14 years old. I just wanna be there friends forever, and so we are going back next week to help with a different craft project! Paula and Larry are doing sooo great! Her baptism is set for this Saturday. She is sooo prepared, we found out this week that she just quit smoking 3 weeks ago and she quit coffee this week. Larry is soo funny! I can't wait to come back in a year and watch them be sealed! So continue to pray for her and that this week will go great. They are the coolest! We got to go to the temple on Saturday. Literally, heaven on earth. I love the things I can learn there! I can not wait until I can go every week! I can't believe that Christmas is in 10 days!! Next Monday is the Christmas party and so P-day will be on Tuesday, so don't be alarmed when I don't email ha. I love you all and can't wait to talk face-to-face!!!

xoxocon amor, Hermana Slade
