I can't believe it is Thanksgiving this week! It feels like it should still be August, or March, or even January. It feels like just yesterday that I left but it's actually been 10 months go figure.. anyway this Thanksgiving I'm thankful for..

My Savior

I love Jesus Christ and I love his Gospel. I love that we recieve blessings for every commandment. I love that God has a perfect plan for each of us and that he loves us soooooo much. And I know that Christ heals us (Alma 15:8)

The Holiday Season

There is nothing better than the Christmas season, can you say magical!! And this year with the "He is the Gift" it will be even better! (Basically the coolest thing the church has done for Christmas, it's starts on Friday and we are getting more deeets about it tomorrow) I can't wait to decorate our Christmas tree on Thanksgiving. And at MLC me and my companion and the Panhandle STL's are singing a special christmas musical number.

The TLM

There is nothing better than the Texas Lubbock Mission. I LOVE the companioins that I have had and have and the things I get to learn from them. I love all the missionaries. And I really love President and Sister Heap. They are the cutest and the best and we had Zone Conference this week and I love everything they teach us!!

This Area

This week I was praying to understand why I am here right now in Roswell and boy did I get an answer. So it has been kind of hard for me lately with all that has been going on with Kenzie and not being there to help her. And so while I am not home to help here I am here to help Brandon. He is a 17 year-old less-active. And we have been praying and praying and praying that something we said could help and that he could feel the hope of the gospel and the love of Jesus Christ. Well this week after an unsuccessful lesson with him we were stumped as to what to do. Then we got a call from him asking if we could stop-by because he needed to apologize for how he acted (definitely his mom's idea haha or so we though) When we got there he asked if we had a time limit and we said "welll.....no?" And he asked us to sit down and he just started crying and apologzing and telling us how he has just been really stressed lately with math and how his mom had surgery and just a bunch of other stuff and how he hasn't been feeling happy for some reason. As we testified of Priesthood blessings and how God cares about our temporal needs as well it hit me while I am not at home with Kenzie I am here with him and that is not a coincidence!! I know God sends us to our areas for a reason! Also we have the coolest investigator Martin that is the most prepared person I have ever taught! We taught tithing this week and he was like "yeah I already do that. my whole life i have just taken like 10 percent of my money and given it to some random church" Say what!! That does not happen!!!

Service

This week we got to wrap presents for 3.5 hours for service!! And we also got to grade papers and work at this hospital auxiliary thift store! I also the musical number at zone conference and yesterday in Sacrament meeting. I love service!! Okay time is up. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! xoxox
