Winter is Here

So I usually try to think of like theme from the week but this week there totally wasn't one. Well except for my new black booties that I wore I think every day but once. Ahhh I love them and they go great with the black warm headband that I bought too! I love Payless.

Winter has hit here..hard. It snowed so much yesterday and there has been several days with a high of 25. As cold as it is it makes me feel like a super legit missionary tracting in the snow so that's great.

Exchanges went so good! We did them right after zone training, which I think my instruction went pretty well (thank you Spirit + scriptures). Going back to El Llano was like a dream! I got to see the Quintanas too and leave a little note on Danny's car haha. I basically just love Sister Peck and Sister Rocha soooo much. I learned so much from them and we had so much fun. I love being able to help other missionaries love the mission as much as I do! Because seriously this is the best work ever!!

The ward here is amazing! And sooo big. And get this! Yesterday we got invited for Thanksgiving dinner, it's going to be with the Wakefields, a super huge family and the cutest grandkids, it's going to be the best!! Also another member gave us a Christmas Tree to borrow and so Thanksgiving afternoon guess what we are going to do!? Decorate the tree of course!! We have already been blasting the Christmas music!

Martin is so awesome and doing so good, just keep praying that he will read in the Book of Mormon. Scripture study is the best and sooo important in our conversion!! I have been thinking a lot about that this week actually. We ran into a less-active that served a mission in Honduras and now he doesn't go to church, he wasn't very friendly, and he wouldn't even tell us his address so we could visit him :( It broke my heart and made me think of the importance of the little things. Scripture study and prayers make us so strong against Satan and without them he can attack so much easier!

Okay funny story: so the other day the Elders were doing service and guess what they did?! They dug up a dead dog. Yes that is for real. It was wrapped up in a blanket and they didn't tell them what they were doing until they were halfway done. I was laughing so hard when they told us.

Well I feel like I have written nothing but I don't really have anything else to write. I love it here and we are working hard on finding new investigators. Supposedly this area is one of the hardest in the mission but the ward is the greatest! And we came up with the coolest "Wise Men Still Seek Him" idea. We are going to pass around a box to the members and have them think of a gift they would give to Jesus this year for Christmas and put in the box. Ahhh I'm so excited!!

Love you all!!

xoxo
