So first off this week i hit my nine months mark. that is half my mission. i cant handle it. i feel like i just got here. and i wanna stay forever. but my companion is the best, she baked me pumpkin spice cupcakes and oh boy were they yummy. and brenda made us dinner which was real tasty too. also this does officially mean that anyone can get pregnant now (kayla, regie, meagen) because i will be home in time for the birth!

to celebrate nine months we morning found on our bikes all day :) :) and we found some super awesome people. a lot were super cute ladies that reminded me of grandma. one even made me cry in a morning find as she talked about how her husband passed away three years ago but it just isn't getting any easier for her. soo....later that night i had an idea. to celebrate nine months i wanted to leave a cupcake in a container on her porch, ring the doorbell and run away. and so we did!! then the next day it inspired me to bake muffins for the family we want to teach. giving the gospel + baked goods, there is no better combination in my mind.

nines were kind of a central theme to this week and i studied about the 99 sheep and shepherds and searching to find the lost one (luke 15:4-6). jesus christ is the good shepherd "i am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep" but we to can do his work and help his sheep, our family, our friends, the people we meet, the people in our church callings. we have a responsibility to feed his sheep! as elder holland taught that is how we show our love for christ by feeding his sheep. read and study ezekiel 34 it's one of my new favorite chapters!!

this week also we had zone training in lubbock on tuesday which meant we had to leave our house at 6:15 am!! say what!! but i got a wendy's frosty that day so all was well! i miss that place.

anahi got baptized!! it was the best!! while technically it isn't our baptism it totally was, we filled the font and set up everything and helped with the program and taught her the lessons before so yeah it was :) she sang "i like to look for rainbows" (in spanish of course) and i played the piano for her and it was just sooo cute! then her party after was a blast. it was "frozen" themed. she and her dog even had matching costumes :)

okay so other miracle story for this week, so we have been searching the whole town for new investigators because i have been everywhere. and so on wednesday we decided to spend the day on our bikes and going every where, we were praying so hard that we could find someone who is ready to be baptized. so that night we were outside of a less-actives home and we got a call from a random number so we answered and he wasn't looking for us :( so sister peck was about to hang up and i was like wait "we are the missionaries and we share messages about jesus christ can we come to your house and share one with you?" and he said yes. and we went and last night he accepted a baptism date and his name is manual. so please pray that he will continue to want to learn and prepare for a baptism. he says he just wants to feel clean of his past mistakes. that is what this gospel does. that is what baptism does. that is what the atonement of jesus christ does. as you can tell it was a fantastic week. every week is. i LOVE being a missionary.

xoxo
