Birthday Month Lives on Strong!

I didn't want it to end and so it didn't!! God is good! This week we found out it was our new members in the area Hna. Pedroza's birthday and so we made a cake! And at zone conference there was this to die for coconut cake and I got a birthday package this week! So yeah birthday month has not ended yet!! And I like it!

Zone Conference was sooooooooooo goooooooooood! I love President and Sister Heap!! Oh and check out their blog to see pictures davidandmaryheap.blogspot.com So with it being his first official zone conference we have some BIG changes in the mission: 1) We now have meal calenders!! And we can eat with the same members more than once a month. SAY WHAT! 2) We are to do 10 hours of service every week, before it was 3 hours were allowed. 3) We can go to the temple once a transfer to do like baptisms with our new converts, or if a less-active that we have been working with wants to do baptisms, or if a member is going to receive their endowment and they invite us. We are excited for the changes and the work is definitely hastening. So that means the Pedroza's fed us twice this week: one was tinga (yummy) the other was shrimp salad (which I actually liked) you couldn't taste the shrimp though. At least I didn't think so. So yeah this meal policy might be for the worse for the scale but it sure does taste good and it saves money. Woot woot! Okay so yesterday at church it was soooo full. I was looking out on everyone (because I play the piano) and I about cried. I love my branch!! I can't ever leave. I won't. Good thing I'm not worried about it at least not yet. My goal is to make to have Christmas here. Long shot? hahaha Quien sabe? The weather cooled down real quick. One day 90 the next day 60. It was a SHOCKER. I busted out the boots. But I think the heat is coming back? I hope not. I kind of like fall. Actually I do a lot. And I really have been waiting to make a few pumpkin recipes but that's just weird to eat in the summer. Mario was baptized!!! And the baptism was awesome!! I had Sister Vance sing and lots of people come and Spanish people have the best refreshments! And the coolest part is that earlier that day we stopped by to see him and he was on the phone with his 19-year-old daughter that lives in Mexico and he asked if I wanted to talk to her!! So of course I said yes!!!! Ahh it was so awesome!! We talked about how we want to meet each other! She thanked us profoundly for changing dad's life and the life of her family! And begged us to keep visiting us! This work changes lives!! She says that he has completely changed since he has started meeting with us!! I wanna teach her!! I wanna baptize the whole family!! SO pray that the missionaries can find them there!!
