The Mission Office Can No Longer Forward Mail

1801 N. Avenue K Portales, NM 88130 This week has been good, it's definitely been my most challenging week but that's good for me! After all Sheri Dew said and I agree "But shouldn't we expect the journey towards eternal glory to stretch us?" So to start off with my birthday was great!! Thank you for all the packages and cards and love and cake!!! I have eaten plenty cake this past week and will continue this week because after all isn't it birthday month! I opened my present in the morning with Hna. Gonzlez, we tried the Reese's oreos they are to. die. for. Then the day before the Quintanas and her threw me a surprise party!! Complete with two cakes and a super cute new shirt from the Quintanas that I wore yesterday. On my birthday I got to see Aunt Cindy and she gave me delicious cupcakes!!! I love birthdays!!! I love cake!! It was a good day to turn 20!! Then that night I opened all my birthday cards...by myself because my companion went to bed at 9:45.. but it's all good. But I did have to say goodbye to Hna. Gonzlez and that killed! I got to say hi to my new companion though her name is Hna. Vance. She is different than me.. but I love her already. She is from Payson, Utah. She has 14 kids in her family. She doesn't eat meat, or use microwaves. Or makeup. But she is helping me to be more healthy as I ate vegetables EVERYDAY this week. I am excited to keep learning from her. But please pray for us!

Our investigators are moving along even without our native here. But lessons are definitely more stressful and I have to strain so hard to understand everything!! Maria really wants to know if this is true but she just isn't sure yet. She loved our Church Tour from a couple of weeks ago but because of work she hasn't been able to come to church yet, so please pray that she can find a different job. She has been looking for one. We found a new investigator this week biking, his name is Mario!! And we set a baptismal date for him for September 6th. He is from the south part of Mexico and he actually speaks Mayan!! He prayed in Mayan. Talk about fulfilling God's promises -Enos 1:16- so just pray that he can understand us, that he can read in the Book of Mormon, and come to church. The other big thing with the work are: we got a Branch Mission Leader called finally!! Hno. Quintana, which he will be great, I am excited for the times to come!! For the most part that is my week.
