So... I forgot my paper at home that I keep notes on of stuff I want to share. So let's hope I can remember some things. BTW transfer calls were last night and we are both staying and so excited!! We have lots of great plans for this transfer and we will see miracles!!
First pray for Lourdes, Raquel, and Cesar. They are our most solid investigators right now, Cesar is new from this week, he came to church and Sacrament Meeting was all about temples, the words baptisms for the dead, endowment, we change into white clothes in locker rooms, Joseph Smith saw Jesus Christ in the Kirkland Temple, we need temple recommends, etc, etc, etc, can be very scary to an investigator, especially when you haven't even shared the First Vision yet. We found Lourdes a couple of weeks ago and were finally able to meet with her, turns out she loved our church was super close to getting baptized in 2006 until someone offended her super bad and she swore she would never come back, so pray that changes! And then Raquel...oh Raquel she's hilarious, she's crazy. She knows the church is true and we are the only church with the proper authority to baptize but she just loves her other church that she doesn't know how she is going to leave her friends there unless someone offends her..so pray for that. Besides that yesterday at church we taught both Gospel Principles and then Primary. Naturally the Branch doesn't have enough teachers to go around and so we can do it :) We taught the kids 2-6, yeah quite an age gap, add a language barrier (some only speak Spanish, some only English) and it made for a lot of snack giving and song singing and outside walks. Ahhh I can't remember much more. We got fed Spaghetti!! And I was in Heaven!! We also got fed Sopes and were given a Chile that we were instructed to just take a bite out of and then take a bite out of the sope. Also food updates we found this awesome place that sells all sorts of dried fruit! And our Branch "posse" went to Mexico over the weekend and said they would bring us back dulces, so we will see :) I am dying for some dried Mango with Chile. We found someone that asked us to help him feed his chickens. Turns out they are all roosters. Because he raises them for fighting. Very illegal. But they were very beautiful! We also cute down some trees for service this week! Oh yeah and we had exchanges in Roswell. Man oh man I like my small towns I have served in. The people are nicer and I realized that the huge houses intimidate me like crazy!! And I like teaching in Spanish better than English. Much better. Let's see...we made awesome Salsa with the Quintanas last P-day! You will love it and it is super easy. It's basically roasted chiles smashed up :) That's really all I can remember :/ I love it here! I am so happy I am staying!! This is the promised land of the mission! We are getting our new mission president next week. xoxo con amor, Hna. Slade Line of the Week: Jordan (primary kid): When my head gets hot it makes water!
