Clear as Coke!

That's what they say here instead of clear as mud. Just like everything this week. Just like this email is going to be. This week was SSSSOOOOOOOO long + SSSSSOOOOOO short!!

Spanish is HARD!!!!!!!!!! Pray for me + the language. My teachers says when I speak its like a baby, it's become our inside joke. He taught us our first slang word: poquitititito. And my other fav word is: entonces (so, then). Thank goodness Mr. Jones taught us animals though cuz one day for breakfast I ask the other hermanas, "How's the duck?" Yeah they almost died! 10 points for me and knowing pavo!!!!!

Marcos is "our investigator". We started teaching him the 2nd day, in Spanish. Throughout the week I have been able to understand more each lesson but answering back is almost impossible. I look like a bobble head as I nod + say si to everything!! I almost say basically everything with my hands. Including showing him the action of baptism + putting the Book of Mormon on the floor covered with pamphlets to show buried. Last night we committed him to baptism + bringing his girlfriend to today's lesson. Boom baby!! jajaja. And he told me he loves the dimple in my chin.

The 1st couple days were LONG, I hate orientation stuff. But now that we have the same schedule every day I love it!! Gym time is super fab (my fav time) tennis + volleyball. One time that couuld be better is if when the District Leaders checked the mail there was a letter for me. Will you Dear Elder me? (That's a commitment if you didn't notice). The food. Is interesting. The 1st day I thought I am going to starve. Now I think I am going to get huge! God blessed me with the ability to eat this stuff. You would be impressed, shocked, in disbelief. However, at dinner + breakfast they have toast with Nutella + Peanut Butter!!! And drum roll please....MILK!!!! It's definitely not skim though. I also carry all my vitamins in there every morning + look like a freak :)

In my room there are 4 girls. We live in casa. We have bunk beds + I'm on the bottom + I'm going to have goose eggs all over my head when I leave beacuase it's so tiny I whack my head all night. The bathroom is SO GHETTO. This. Is. Mexico. I just thought this is worse than a Flying J bathroom.

My roommates are my fav. There is my companion Hermana Dahl (also going to Lubbock) + Hermana Marsh + Hermana Hansen (both going to Florida). Get this only one is from Utah! And only one Elder in my district is from Utah!! Say what!! That's only 20%.Hermana Dahl is from Arizona, I like her a lot. Hermana Marsh is like our mom. But she has fabulous eye makeup.Hermana Hansen is my favorite!!!!!!! She is hilarious! We talk about insta and fb. They all wash their hair basically every day, but thankfully they were impressed with my whole week without washing instead of disgusted.

My district. Matt Newbold from Preston is in it + we are in charge of the special musical number this Sunday.

My zone. Well it just got changed because the others left. But one of our zone leaders was a diabetic + he tried to trick us saying he had to take his shot in his eye. I of course was like no you are wrong! Holla at your girl-- thank you Kyle!! Our Branch President hardly speaks English but I love him!! We were talking about good American food + he asked if anyone knew about Maddox. I almost jumped out of my seat!! Instantly we became friends. Also don't worry first Sunday here and I had to give a talk in Sacrament, in Spanish. Say what!!! Surprisingly I was way more clam than when I spoke at home.

President Pratt is the president of the CCM + he is gone right now because his wife is having surgery in SLC. He was companiosn with Elder Holland back in the day. He should be back before we leave.

Also on Feb 9 an apostle is coming!!! To dedicate the CCM!!! And so they are having a choir. Let's just say if an apostle wasn't coming I probably wouldn't have joined. Free time is far too precious here! But one is and I'm not missing out on that opportunity. The director is cray cray! She is a choir director.
